Bakalářská práce se věnuje vysvětlení pojmu manipulace, doporučení způsobů obrany proti manipulativnímu jednání se zaměřením na nácvik asertivního jednání a umění čtení řeči těla. Shrnuje poznatky z oblasti všeobecné i sociální pedagogiky a ostatních souvisejících vědních disciplín. Je zde nastíněna otázka dalšího řešení nejen manipulativního jednání, ale i dalších společensko-pedagogických problémů současnosti z pohledu sociální pedagogiky.
