Bakalářská práce Alternativní tresty pojednává o trestech nahrazujících nepodmíněný trest odnětí svobody. Práce začíná přehledem jednotlivých alternativních trestů v České republice. Hlubší zkoumání problematiky bylo zaměřeno na trest obecně prospěšných prací, jeho specifikaci, co předcházelo jeho zavedení, současnost a problematika spjatá s tímto trestem. Svoji pozornost jsem i zde zaměřila na některé vybrané země Evropské unie a provedla jsem vzájemnou komparaci s Českou republikou.
V této práci je rovněž zmíněna služba, která poskytuje patřičné zázemí výkonu alternativních trestů, a tou je Probační a mediační služba. Zde jsem se věnovala historii probační a mediační služby, pozastavila jsem se nad problematikou probační a mediační služby v České republice.
Empirická část bakalářské práce je věnována výzkumu názorů představitelů obcí s rozšířenou působností, kteří se setkávají s odsouzenými k trestu obecně prospěšných prací. Výzkum jsem vyhodnotila celkově za celou Českou republiku a posléze podle jednotlivých vyšších územních samosprávních celků.

Bachelor word is called alternative punishments. It is about punishments substitung imprisonment. The introduction of the thesis contains an overview of alternative punishments in the Czech Republic. Detailed investigatiou (summany) specialized was intent on the community service. It its implementation to present and issues concerning with using of these punishments. I have compared the system of community service in the Czech Republic and European Union.
The following parts of the thesis are given to probation and mediation service that provides and supports enforcement of alternative punishments. i have mentroned history of probation, and mediation service and a I ve taken exception to problems vith probation and mediation service in the Czech Republic.
The last part of the thesis is research. There is written about opinious of leaders from many villages and lowns who work vith convicted people in community service. The research was analysed for the Czech Republic and finally separately for each region of the Czech Republic.
