Téma bakalářské práce je policie a společnost. V první části práce je historický přehled o policii v České republice od roku 1918 a srovnání demokratické a totalitní společnosti. V dalších kapitolách se práce zabývá veřejným míněním, korupcí a chybami policie. Závěr je zaměřen na preventivní činnost policie, zavádění managementu kvality do práce policie a úvaze o dalším směřování vývoje v nejbližších letech.

The topic of my thesis is the police and the society. In the first part there is a historical view of the police in the Czech Republic since 1918 and comparison of democratic and totalitarian society. The next chapters are dealing with public opinion, corruption and the errors of police. The conclusion is focused on the preventive activity of the police, implementing management of quality into the work of police and consideration of the next developement in the next years.
