Tato práce mapuje postoje a hodnotovou orientaci pedagogických pracovníků a společnosti k postiženým dětem. Hledá závažné problémy v této oblasti výchovného působení pedagogů. Práce zvýrazňuje, že děti s postižením patří do běžných předškolních a školských zařízení, že jsou to děti velmi vnímavé ke všem sociálním a společenským vlivům.
Výhody integrovaného způsobu výchovy a vzdělávání lze spatřovat zejména ve zdravém a přirozeném vývoji osobnosti zdravotně postižených dětí v rodinném prostředí a v prostředí jejich vrstevníků. Jejich pobyt v předškolních a školních zařízeních má význam pro jejich sourozence, kamarády. Umožňuje jim překonávat sociální bariéry a jejich zapojení do výchovného procesu má bezesporu vliv na harmonický vývoj jejich osobnosti.

This work is mapping out the values orientation of the pedagogic staff and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports officials vis à vis the handicapped children. It is looking for significant problems in the sphere of the pedagogues’ educational impact. It stresses the fact that children with disabilities belong to regular pre-school and school facilities.
Advantages of an integrated mode of upbringing and education can be discerned especially in the healthy and natural personality development of the handicapped children that takes place in a family environment and among contemporaries of the handicapped children. Being able to frequent pre-school and school facilities is significant also for their siblings and friends. It helps these children to overcome social barriers and their involvement in the educational process undoubtedly influences the harmonious development of their personality.
