Práce se zabývá současným problémem Policie CR, náborem uchazečů o práci u Policie CR a následným naplněním početních stavu policistu. Popisuje příčiny současného stavu s ohledem na politický a společenský vývoj. Analyzuje současné metody náboru a výběru v praxi. Zároveň uvádí zkušenosti z vyspělých policejních sboru jiných demokratických zemí, se kterými ČR v tomto ohledu spolupracuje. Tato práce se zabývá také historií a vývojem policie v českých zemích.
Shrnutím všech uvedených poznatku a analýzou zkušeností, jsou v závěru nabídnuta možná řešení problematiky náboru a výběru policistu.

The Bachelor thesis deals with a current problem of the Police of the Czech Republic, i.e. recruitment of applicants and the need to increase current numbers of police staff. Causes of the present state are described with a view to the political and social development. The analysis shows methods of recruiting and selection in practice. The thesis also presents experience of advanced police forces from other democratic countries cooperating with the Czech Republic. History and development of the police in the Czech Republic are also dealt with.
Through analysing all known facts and experience, the thesis offers possible solutions to the problem of recruitment and selection of police staff.
