Educational goals The course concentrates on the study of chemical, physical and biological properties of materials with a special focus on restrictive conditions in the preparation phase, and furthermore on characterization, behaviour and utility properties of inorganic and organic materials. Gained knowledge is further enriched with information from the field of technological processing, optimization of utility and protective properties of compounds, materials and products. An integral part of this study is to gain experience in the field of designing the experiment concepts including the statistical analysis of the data. During the course of study, students become acquainted with modern methods of analysis of material structures and properties, using the advanced technologies and programmes.
