Graduate profile
|
Graduates are familiar with concepts, theories and methodological approaches in social pedagogy and other pedagogical disciplines; they know the historical and wider context of social pedagogy; they know terminology and key theoretical concepts in psychology, sociology, philosophy and social work; they are able to carry out research in the socio-pedagogical field; linking knowledge from pedagogy and other social sciences; plan and implement educational and preventive activities for children, young people and adults; plan and implement project activities in pedagogy and social field; have basic pedagogical psychological diagnostic skills; know the basic consulting procedures and methods and apply them in practice; are able to choose adequate communication strategies when working with children, young people and adults, taking into account the specifics of the social environment and the nature of the problem situation; communicate in one of the foreign languages (English, German, Russian, French).

Expected performance of this field‘s graduates in the job market
|
Graduates of the Social Pedagogy study program can find employement at schools, school facilities, out-of-school institutions, social service and social assistance organizations, both in the public and private sectors. Legislative support for the graduates' application is especially in Act No. 563/2004 Coll. on pedagogical staff and Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services.

Admission requirements
|
The requirements for admission are regulated by the internal standard of the faculty. Only candidates with full secondary education acquired within the set term of enrollment for study may be accepted for study. Another requirement for admission is the successful completion of the National Comparative Exam (NSZ), which aims to verify the applicant's prerequisites for study, especially to assess his / her knowledge and ability to study.
