Educational goals The goal of the study in the English for Business Administration Programme is to graduate students both with a C1 level competence of spoken and written English and knowledge in management-related fields. The competences include communication skills and cultural awareness of English-speaking countries in the broadest possible sense. The graduates should be able to translate economic texts and conduct business meetings in English, or act as interpreters for such meetings. Graduates should be able to use their language and cultural competences in any form of professional communication.
Specialization profile A study programme aims at providing qualifications for entering a profession or a Maste´s study programmme, draws directly on current knowledge and methods while also including theoretical knowledge

Graduate profile A graduate of the degree course above has knowledge of English and American Studies and specialised management courses. A graduate is able to use language for professional communication in multilingual and multicultural contexts, process professional translations and perform linguistic and literary analysis. The acquired knowledge and skills will enable the graduate to work as an assistant, manager or an executive officer in private companies or state institutions, state or local administration, in international firms, financial institutions, foreign trade, tourism, communication agencies and in companies communicating in English. A graduate may also apply for lower management positions, or pursue a career as a professional translator of mainly economic texts. The combination of the knowledge of economics and the language will enable the graduates to conduct meetings with foreign partners, to promote a company, product or service, and produce business documents in a foreign language at the appropriate level.
