Educational goals
|
The aim of the General Nurse field of study is to train fully competent experts of the profession by giving them a high quality theoretical and practical preparation. By way of the nursing process, the graduates of this programme will be able to provide comprehensive individual nursing care in accordance with the latest professional knowledge in nursing. They will be able to collaborate with the patient / client, with his /her family and other members of the multidisciplinary team and will be able to recognize and assess the somatic and psychosocial needs of the patient / client and to ensure the necessary care to strengthen and maintain health (as well as to prevent disease). They will also be able to provide psychological support to the dying and their loved ones, helping individuals and groups to achieve maximum mental, physical and social well-being. Using measuring techniques, they will be able to recognize and evaluate the level of self-sufficiency; they will participate in the preparation of standards of nursing care and monitor the quality of care in practice. They will be able to actively participate in research into nursing and publish the results of their work.

Studijní program Ošetřovatelství, obor Všeobecná sestra je tříleté bakalářské studium, po jehož absolvování získají účastníci studia se souhlasem MZ ČR oprávnění vykonávat zdravotnické povolání bez přímého vedení nebo odborného dohledu (dále jen "bez odborného dohledu"), zákon č. 96/2004 Sb., zákon o nelékařských povoláních, ve znění pozdějších předpisů.

Absolventi studijního programu / oboru budou na základě vědomostí a dovedností z ošetřovatelských, medicínských a humanitních oborů a na základě zkušeností z odborné praxe schopni rozpoznat somatické a psychosociální potřeby klienta / nemocného a zajistit potřebnou péči směřující k posílení
a udržení zdraví, k prevenci onemocnění ve zdraví a k péči o klienta / nemocného jak v období nemoci, tak i v období jeho rekonvalescence. Absolventi budou schopni samostatně poskytovat individuální péči a oporu zdravým, nemocným, handicapovaným jednotlivcům a umírajícím, rodinám a komunitám v přirozeném a společenském prostředím, ve kterém žijí.

Absolvent bakalářského studia je připraven k výkonu profese všeobecné sestry a získává uplatnění v oblasti zdravotnických a sociálních služeb, které jsou poskytovány ve státních i nestátních zařízeních
a institucích, v rodinách, ale také komunitách v přírodním a společenském prostředí.
Uplatnění absolventů je možné v rámci aktuálních zdravotnických systémů jednotlivých zemí Evropské unie v oblastech primární, sekundární a terciární péče o zdraví obyvatelstva zahrnující jednotlivce, rodiny, komunity, ohrožené skupiny, nevyléčitelně nemocné apod. Získané teoretické a praktické znalosti a dovednosti umožní absolventům vést a řídit ošetřovatelský tým, privátní praxi nebo agentury poskytující služby v oblasti ošetřovatelské péče.
