Educational goals The objectives of the study field are aimed at deepening knowledge of applied Informatics in the fields to work with data and database systems, designing systems, security of information systems, programming, operating systems and computer networks. The students are briefed with the technical and theoretical Cybernetics, measurement, optimization and with items of the economic-managerial nature, so as to be able to be in force by members of the teams in the areas of design, implementation and use of information technology.
Annotation V rámci magisterského oboru Informační technologie jsou vychováváni odborníci v oblasti informačních technologií. Absolventi jsou schopni analyzovat a řešit problémy softwarového charakteru a navrhnout vhodné softwarové řešení. Získávají a prohlubují znalosti z běžných procedurálních jazyků a vědomosti z oblastí umělé inteligence, multi-agentních systémů i reprezentace znalostí. Umí aplikovat nabyté vědomosti na nové problémy z praxe a umí je předávat svým spolupracovníkům. Uplatní se ve vývoji a v softwarových a konzultačních týmech v oblastech tvorby software. Absolventi mají možnost pracovat ve firmách, které se zabývají vývojem software, projektováním, uplatní se i na pozicích vedoucích realizačních týmů.

Health requirements - u studentů s těžším zrakovým postižením - za předpokladu disponování vlastního spec. softwaru, s nímž může pracovat ve výuce
- u studentů neslyšících za předpokladu přítomnosti tlumočníka do znakové řeči - centrum není schopno technicky zajistit
- u studentů s postižením horních končetin - omezená dostupnost v případě postižení obou HK (četnost laboratorních cvičení)
- u studentů se specifickými poruchami učení - s výjimkou dyskalkulie

Admission requirements Bakalářské vzdělání - uchazeč dokládá kopií bakalářského diplomu.
Úspěšně splněný test ze standardní problematiky obsažené v učebních osnovách bakalářských oborů příbuzných oboru z přihlášky uchazeče formou přijímacího testu, délka testu 60 min, maximum 50 bodů, minimum 20 bodů.
