Obsah předmětu
1. Equipment for the removal of solid pollutants from waste gases (vortex separators (cyclones), wet separators (scrubbers), fabric filters and electrostatic separators). Principles, types, advantages and disadvantages, application examples. 2. Methods of reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides from combustion processes (measures to reduce the formation of NOX, methods of removing NOX from flue gases - SCR, SNCR). Principles, types, advantages and disadvantages, application examples. 3. Methods of gaseous substance and aerosol removal from exhaust gases (absorption processes, adsorption processes, condensation processes, combustion, photocatalytic processes). Principles, types, advantages and disadvantages, application examples. 4. Methods of flue gas desulfurization (dry, semi-dry and wet methods). Principles, types, advantages and disadvantages, application examples. 5. Formation of wastewater, types, and sources of pollution. The nature and properties of water pollutants, water composition. Criteria of water purity, group parameters. 6. Separation of suspended substances: screens, sedimentation, filtration, flotation, centrifugation. Separation of oils and fats. Magnetic separation. 7. Coagulation and clarification in water technology. Adsorption processes in water purification: basic concepts, nature of adsorption, factors affecting adsorption, practical use, adsorption equilibrium. The most important isotherms. Neutralization. Removal of organic compounds from water by ozonation. 8. Activation processes: properties of activated sludge important for treatment processes, aeration and aeration technologies, technological parameters, technological implementation of activation processes and their modifications. 9. Activation processes: technological systems for the removal of nitrogen (including alternative methods), phosphorus removal, and simultaneous removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. Principles of the microbial removal of nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater. 10. Biofilm reactors - trickling filters (biofilm, packing material, distributing wastewater, oxygen supply, rising effect, recirculation). 11. Sludge treatment, Sludge digestion. Sludge processing. 12. Control of filamentous bulking and foaming during wastewater treatment. Microscopic identification of filamentous microorganisms. 13. Microbial decontamination of polluted air. Description of biofilters and the possibilities of their use in industrial and other conditions; chemical substances that could be eliminated. 14. Bioremediation of contaminated soils and groundwater - the most important procedures and their principles; chemical substances that could be eliminated. 15. Possibilities of disinfection of drinking and industrial water - chemical and physical methods. Principles of the drinking water utilization without (chemical) disinfection.
