- Drug development - the painful journey from the original idea to the patient. - Modern procedures in drug synthesis (retrosynthetic analysis, combinatorial chemistry). - Total synthesis as a means for efficient acquisition of bioactive substances. - Influence of the structure and spatial orientation of the molecule on biological activity. - Determining the structure of bioactive substances using spectral methods. - Possibilities of isolating bioactive substances from natural sources. - Amino acids, peptides, proteins. - Carbohydrates, polysaccharides (cellulose, pectins, gums, mucilages). - Glycosides (phenolic glycosides, cardioglycosides, thioglycosides). - Amino acids, peptides, proteins. - Alkaloids I (purine, pyridine and piperidine alkaloids). - Alkaloids II (quinoline and isoquinoline alkaloids, indole alkaloids). - Alkaloids III (tropane alkaloids). - Saponins, tannins, natural dyes.
