Course content
- Lectures and seminars: - Introduction to pharmacology - basics of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions - 2 hours - Drugs affecting CNS - general anesthetics, hypnotics, antiemetics, antiparkinsonian drugs, antiepileptics, analgesics (opioids), psychopharmaceuticals - 2 hours - Drugs affecting the vegetative nervous system - basic effects of sympathetic and parasympathetic drugs. Drugs affecting the heart and blood vessels, antihypertensives - 2 hours - Drugs affecting the heart and vessels, diuretics, hypolipemics - 1 hour - Drugs affecting blood diseases - 1 hour - Medicaments affecting the respiratory system, digestive system medications - 1 hour - Nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals. Therapy of selected intoxications - 2 hours - Drugs used to treat diseases of the endocrine system (therapy of thyroid disorders, gonads, contraceptives, antidiabetics) - 2 hrs - Medicines for therapy of locomotive organs (antirheumatic, analgesics). Alternative treatments - 1 hour - Drugs for the treatment of infectious and parasitic diseases (ATB, chemotherapeutics, virostatics) - 1 hour - Immune system drugs and cancer therapy - 1 hour - Drugs during pregnancy and lactation - 2 hours
