Course content
Seminars: - Definition of medical psychology - 1 hour - Holistic concept of illness, health versus illness, psychosomatic and somatopsychic relationships - 1 hour - Biopsychosocial approach to disease - 2 hours - Stressful situations - part of life, coping with stressful situations, illness as a difficult life situation - 1 hour - Psychology of health care professionals. Relationships between health professionals, burnout syndrome. Stress prevention - 2 hours - Psychosomatic disorders - 2 hours - Psychological problems of the patient-disease relationship. Changes in behavior and experience during illness, reaction to illness, needs of the patient, role of the patient - 2 hours - Healthcare approach to the patient. Iatropatogenie - 2 hrs. - Psychological aspects of hospitalization - 1 hour - Pain, fear and anxiety in illness - 2 hours Exercises: - Application of psychology in obstetric care - 3 hours - Application of psychology in gynecology - 2 hours - Application of psychology in cancer - 3 hours
