Course content
Lectures - Basic terms in neurology (clinical symptoms, manifestation). Diagnostics in neurology (basic and special examination methods), basic therapeutic steps in treatment of children and adults with inflammatory diseases of nerve system and - 1 hour - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with spasmodic diseases - 1 hour - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with brain ischemia and haemorrhage, of the ill with algic syndromes - 1 hour - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with demeyelisation diseases - 1 class - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with neuropathy and myopathy - 1 hour - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with degenerative diseases of nerve system - 1 hour - Basic therapeutic steps in a treatment of the ill with craniocelebral injuries. Basic steps in treatment of the ill with expansive processes of CNS - 1 hour Class practice - The process of nursing in neurology nursing care (assessment, diagnostics, planning, realisation, evaluation) - 1 hour - Assessment, measuring and evaluation scales in neurology nursing care (awareness, pain, self-care, mobility, etc.) - 1 hour - Diagnostic and therapeutic methods in neurology - the role and assistance of a nurse (neurological examination, tests in neurology, local injection, lumbar puncture, cerebrospinal fluid examination, EEG, EMG, ultrasound, examination of cortical functions disorder, neuroimaging methods - CT, MR, PET, SPECT and other), education of the ill and their relatives - 2 hours - Nursing process of patients with an awareness disorder, with inflammatory diseases of nerve system, neuroinfections - 1 hour - Nursing process of patients with degenerative diseases of nerve system - 1 hour - Nursing process of patients with forms of neuropathy and myopathy - 1 hour - Nursing process of children and adults with spasmodic diseases - 1 hour - Nursing process of the ill with algic syndromes, sclerosis multiplex - 1 hour - Nursing process of the ill with brain ischemia and haemorrhage - 1 hour - Training and excursions to the neurology department - 4 hours
