Course content
Seminar Preparation of Individual Block Practice 1 (securing and scheduling of clinical sites, updating requirements for the smooth running of Individual Block Practice 1, checking the OSH training up to date for the academic year). Work experience Provision of nursing care in the structure of mainly aftercare (and rehabilitation care) and long-term care in a health care facility, according to the schedule of contractual workplaces (280 h). Individual block practice focus (list of specific nursing activities - see logbook): Familiarisation with the nature of the work organisation and the specifics of work at the workplace of professional practice. Provision of individualised complex nursing care under the professional supervision of a mentor/trainer. Access to and participation in medical record keeping. Communication and collaboration of the healthcare team, sharing information. Effective communication with the patient/client and their loved ones. Nursing process in all its phases, assessment of the patient/client by the nurse, monitoring objective symptoms and recording subjective symptoms of the patient/client. Insight into health/social care, activation of the patient/client. Attending rounds (medical, nursing), assisting and relaying information within the team. Reflection Analysis of the Individual Block Practice 1 performance environment, identification of potential problem situations. Analysis of collaboration in multidisciplinary team, interpersonal relationships, mentor/trainer guidance. Analysis of practice diary/practice guide entries (completion of activities, completion of tasks).
