Course content
Seminar - Basic terms from communication (communication process, source/receiver, feedback, noise, etc.) (2 h). - Verbal communication. Components of non-verbal communication and their importance in healthcare (1 h). - Effectiveness of communication, non-verbal communication, active listening (2 h). - Listening, empathy, communication barriers (2 h). - The most common problems and misunderstandings in communication (1 h). - Specifics of communication in the profession (1 h). - Excursion: history of rhetoric (1 h). Exercises - Communication with patients with specific requirements (4 h). - Communication with problem patients (4 h). - Conflicts and their resolution (3 h). - Assertive communication (3 h). - The art of persuasion (2 h). - Body language (4 h).
