Course content
Lectures - Cardiac surgery - 4 hours. - Plastic surgery and thermal injuries - 2 hours. - Transplantology - 2 hours. - Oncosurgery - 4 hours. - Neurosurgery - 2 hours. Class practice - Specifics of surgical nursing care for patients with diseases of the heart and vascular system (coronary heart disease - coronary artery bypass grafting, heart transplantation, heart valve replacement and replacement, surgery for heart rhythm disorders, acute and chronic arterial occlusions) - 3 hours. - Special nursing techniques related to clients in the departments of plastic surgery and burns. Nursing process in patients with burns and frostbite - 2 hours. - Legislation of procurement of human organs in the Czech Republic, transplantation of kidneys, pancreas, liver, heart, bone marrow and lungs, indications, contraindications, complications, care of organ donors. Nursing process in the client after kidney, pancreas, liver transplantation - 3 hours. - Nursing process in a client with bronchogenic carcinoma. Nursing process in oncological patients before and after colon surgery, nursing process in a client with colorectal cancer. Nursing process in a client with breast cancer. Nursing process in a client with prostate cancer - 3 hours. - Nursing process in selected operations in the neurosurgical department - brain bypass surgery, surgery for brain tumours, brain envelopes, cranial base, orbits, small and massive operations on peripheral nerves - 3 hours.
