Course content
Lectures - Surgery of the abdomen and digestive tract, part 1 - 2 hours. - Surgery of the abdomen and digestive tract, part 2 - 2 hours. - Sudden abdominal events - diagnosis and treatment - 3 hours. - Urology - 2 hours. - Vascular surgery - 2 hours. - Orthopedics - 3 hours. Class practice - Nursing process in abdominal surgery - peculiarities of preoperative preparation, monitoring during surgery, postoperative care, drain care, management of postoperative complications - 1 hour. - Nursing process in patients with a sudden abdominal event (peritonitis, ileus) - 2 hours. - Nursing process in patients with a sudden abdominal event (bleeding into the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal injury) - 1 hour. - Nursing process in patients with surgical treatment of hernia, oesophagus and stomach, small intestine, large intestine - 1 hour. - Nursing process in patients with surgical solution of the gallbladder and bile ducts, spleen and liver - 1 hour. - Nursing process in patients with embolization, with surgical solution of aneurysm, varices, obliterative angiopathy - 2 hours. - Special nursing technique related to endoscopic and abdominal operations, preoperative preparation, postoperative care, LERV, PEK, catheterization, congenital defects of the urinary system - 1 hour. - Nursing process in patients with urinary and kidney stones, prostatic hypertrophy, sudden events in urology - 2 hours. - Special nursing technique related to clients in orthopedic wards, nursing process in patients after joint replacement, with endoprostheses, after arthoscopies - 3 hours. The course unit includes a compulsory internship / class practice at the selected surgical departments.

Knowledge
Používat odbornou zdravotnickou terminologii (zejména z oblasti anatomie). Popsat a vysvětlit anatomii a fyziologii člověka. Objasnit patofyziologii, patologii a aktivně používat fyzikální a antropologické vyšetřovací metody. Aktivně používat ošetřovatelské diagnózy. Vyjmenovat lékové skupiny, jejich zástupce, žádoucí a nežádoucí účinky, kontraindikace aj.
