Course content
Lectures - 7 hours Philosophical and methodological bases of social science research. Specifics of nursing research. Priorities and dimensions of nursing research - 1 hour Methods, procedures, research techniques - 1 hour Research planning and implementation - 1 hour Qualitative research and its techniques. Research question, partial research questions - 1 hour Qualitative data processing: text analysis. Data coding. Triangulation - 1 hour Design of qualitative research. Definition of research areas. Research question, partial research questions - 1 hour Grounded theory, paradigmatic model - 1 hour Seminars - 9 hours Quantitative research and its techniques. Research objectives. Hypotheses: initial, working - 1 hour Methods, procedures, research techniques - 2 hours Qualitative data processing: text analysis. Data coding. Triangulation - 2 hours Empirical data processing: data ordering, tabulation and graphical representation, position characteristics, variance and standard deviation, correlation, statistical significance tests - 3 hours Life story method, case study - 1 hour
