Course content
Seminar - Basic principles of EKG and related concepts; division of EKG leads, including their placement. The EKG curve. - Basic description of EKG - primary description of waves, deflections and intervals. - Sinus rhythm, sinus arrhythmias (tachycardia and bradycardia, sinus arrest), supraventricular and ventricular extrasystoles. - Supraventricular arrhythmias (supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, atrial flutter). - Atrioventricular block (Types I - III). - Cardiac stimulation in relation to EKG. - Ventricular arrhythmias (ventricular tachycardia, fibrillation, cardiac arrest). - Electrical cardioversion, defibrillation, Holter EKG monitoring, telemetry.
