Lecture topics: 1. Introduction to biophysics, physical basis of blood sedimentation, physical basis of respiration 2. Physical basics of blood circulation and blood pressure measurement 3. Origin and properties of ultrasound (characteristics of ultrasound devices, use in diagnostics and therapy) 4. Interaction of the organism with electric current (use in diagnostics and therapy), ECG, bioelectric methods EEG, EMG 5. Basics of acoustics, sound, noise, audiometry 6. Electromagnetic field and its interaction with the organism. X-ray and X-ray examination methods, native, contrast, CT, angiography, coronarography 7. Nuclear medicine: basics of nuclear medicine, health and safety at work, radionuclide examination methods. Methods of nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET). Seminar topics: 1. The nature of the effect of external pressure on the body (overpressure, underpressure) 2. Physical basics of endoscopic methods (use in diagnostics and therapy) 3. Basics of acoustics, sound, noise, audiometry 4. Laser, origin of laser, its use in diagnostics and therapy 5. Haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous methods, haemoperfusion, plasmapheresis. 6. Biological response, methods of studying cell damage, clinical applications of PDT. 7. The nature of the effect of external temperature on the body (limits, use in diagnosis and therapy)
