Course content
- Principles of health and safety at work in internal, surgical and paediatric wards. - Introduction to the character, specifics and organization of work in internal surgical and paediatric wards. - Introduction to work organization and specifics in internal, surgical and paediatric outpatient clinics. - Working with the documentation in the department under the professional supervision of a nurse. - Fulfilment of nursing interventions according to the valid norms and standards. - Implementation of the nursing process in children and adults at the particular workplace. - Preparation of patients for examinations. - Collaboration in a multidisciplinary team, sharing information. - Specifics of communication with children and their parents. The importance of play in childcare. - Prevention of the immobilization syndrome. Verticalization of patients, self-care training. - Principles of positioning immobile patients. - Reflection of the practical training, situation analysis. - Use se of group and individual supervision. - Fulfilling semestral tasks, keeping track of accomplished tasks (logbook).
