Course content
- Theory in social work. - Philosophical starting points of social work. Social work as theory and practice. - Development of social work and its theoretical starting points. - Systems theory. - Selected theoretical perspectives, approaches and models of social work (psychodynamic directions, humanistic and existential theories). Work with case reports. - Selected theoretical perspectives, approaches and models of social work (cognitive-behavioral theory, social-psychological approach, reality therapy). Work with case reports. - System of action in social work; anti-oppressive approaches. Work with case reports. - The role of social workers. Communication skills (including negotiation communication skills). - Social system in the Czech Republic, institution of social work. - The characteristic of social work in the given facility (state and non-state sector). - Community planning and social area development. - Current trends in social work theories; critical reflection of social work.
