Course content
|
Lecture - Origin and theory of pain, types of pain and its identification. - Possibilities of pharmacotherapy of pain, combinations of drugs, adverse effects. - Invasive techniques for pain treatment. Seminar - Physical therapy in pain treatment. - Invasive techniques for pain treatment. - Use of acupuncture in pain treatment. - Factors influencing pain and psychosocial contexts of pain, use of psychotherapy in pain treatment. - Postoperative pain issues, consequences of insufficient postoperative analgesia and its individualized solution. Exercise - Pain from the perspective of risk groups (children, seniors, pregnant and lactating women, patients with difficulty communicating - critical patient, cognitive disorder, language barrier). - Evaluation and measurement techniques (objectifying tests and scales) of pain, especially from the perspective of risk groups (children, seniors, patients with difficulty communicating). - Communication and psychological approach to a patient with pain. - Pain management and documentation protocols, case study solutions from clinical practice. Internship A mandatory 8-hour internship at a selected workplace is included.
