Introductory seminar for Professional Practice (organizational guidelines, workplace and goals of practice, portfolio and Logbook management ...) Practice at a non-accredited workplace: - Drug history of the patient in their own social environment, evaluation of the patient's compliance ability (cooperation with a loved one). - Indicative assessment of the drug used by the patient and the active substance administered in the medication with regard to possible mutual interactions and manifestations of adverse effects. - Taking a drug history of the patient in their own social environment and warning about possible interactions of the drug used with sunlight, with a drug whose dispensing is not subject to a medical prescription or with food or liquid. - Taking a drug history of the patient in their own social environment and warning about possible adverse effects (increased drowsiness, risk of falling, etc.). - Consulting activities, recommendations of over-the-counter drugs to influence the patient's current symptoms. - Risks of inappropriate use of dietary supplements in connection with medications or a certain disease. - Risks of complications with irregular use of medications or their incorrect dosage. - Application of medication into a secured venous access (Midline, PICC, PORT, epidural catheter). - Application of infusion therapy subcutaneously. - Familiarization with recommended procedures for administering medications in the workplace, or submitting a request for an update. - Preparation of a report to the State Institute for Drug Control in case of suspicion of adverse effects of a medicinal product (possible model situation). - Education of the patient and loved ones in the principles of regular use of medications prescribed by a doctor (compliance) to prevent complications, e.g. antibiotics (to prevent the development of microbial resistance). - Education of the patient and loved ones in appropriate and inappropriate combinations of prescribed medications in relation to over-the-counter medications, liquids, foods, dietary supplements, etc., storage of medications and expiration control. - Operation and organization of work in a pain treatment clinic. - Ensuring and coordinating safe care for a patient on home dialysis. Care for a patient on home mechanical ventilation, coordination of safe care for a ventilated patient. Completion of practice - evaluation of Professional practice 3. Evaluation of practice by a student, mentor, academic staff member.
