Lectures Topics in healthcare law - Overview of current Czech and international legislation in the field of healthcare. Basic rights and obligations of the patient, rights and obligations of healthcare providers and healthcare professionals. Informed consent, healthcare without the patient's consent. - Healthcare documentation - its management and handling, the right to inspect it, provision of information in healthcare, the right to information, the obligation of confidentiality in healthcare. - Legal responsibilities - criminal, administrative torts, compensation for damage, etc. Topics in social policy - Introduction to the study of social policy: basic terminology (social policy, social situation, social event, social problem, social security, social insurance, social support, social assistance). Relationship of social policy to other scientific fields. - Subjects and objects of social policy, goals and instruments of social policy. Types of social policy, functions and principles. Welfare state. - Three pillars of social security (social insurance, social support, social assistance) - practical examples. Socially focused institutions in the Czech Republic. Overview of non-insurance social benefits, state social support benefits, assistance benefits in material need, pensions and other options (not only) for financial support of individuals, caregivers and families. - Characteristics and importance of state health policy. Current issues of social policy.
