Course content
- Introductory seminar informs about possibilities of student's participation in improving quality of life of hospitalized patients and users of services and communities. Deciding factors for choice of an activity. Offer of activities (2 hours). - Preparation of a project (in groups, pairs, depending on the activity type). Implementation of the project. Evaluation, final report on the activity. Presentation of the progress and evaluation of the activity. The student chooses from these options (examples): activation program for the elderly in hospitals; activation program for the elderly in social services; organizing a collection (for example of books, toys, etc.) for the target group; reading books and daily press to the elderly; reading books to children; organization of St. Nicholas parties; participation in events organized by the faculty of the university; assistance for people with specific needs; helping with organization of a volunteer activity; student's own proposal. Students may register for the course unit 1x during their studies.
