Course content

- Convention on the Rights of the Child. Stages and approaches of society to the child in history. The family and its development in history. - Theoretical starting points for social work with the family. - Basic terminology. Family, typology, function of family. A dysfunctional and multi-problem family. - Authority child protection. Current legislation. - Institution cooperating with the family in the framework of social work. The importance of a multidisciplinary team in the care of vulnerable children. - Methods of social work with the family; social investigation when working with the family, family counselling, family therapy (directions, methods, techniques), case conference, rehabilitation of the family. Methods and techniques of social work with children. - Working with the potential of families and their members. - Evaluation of the situation of the family and the child. Individual planning focused on child and family protection. - Institutes for substitute family care. - A system of institutional education with a focus on the care of minor children. - Child and in a medical facility (CAN syndrome) and its identification. - Family and CAN syndrome. - Family, child and divorce, family and unemployment. Social work with a family in divorce / separation. - Family and addictions. - Social work with the family in a medical facility.
