Course content
- Introduction to the issue of social work with minorities, definition of basic concepts. - Migration: history, development in the European and Czech context. - Multiculturalism as result of migration: history, development and current form. - Multicultural reality in the Czech Republic. - Migration, asylum and integration policy. Reflection of the situation in the Czech Republic. - Roma minority: Social work with the Roma community. - Sexual minorities, LGBTI, asexual and queer. - Individual, group and community work with minorities. - Field work with minorities. - Issues of assimilation, integration and inclusion. - Racism, xenophobia, cultural relativism, ethnocentrism. - Preventive social work in the field of minorities and work with the majority society, preventing prejudices, eliminating them and leading to the creation of functional relations between minorities and the majority society.

Learning activities and teaching methods
