Course content
- Cardiovascular diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods. The main emphasis will place on diseases such as atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, acute myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, heart rhythm disorders and inflammatory heart diseases, hypertension, acute pulmonary embolism, varicose veins, heart failure and failure, thromboembolic disease. Selected problems of patients and interventions implemented for them. Cardiovascular rehabilitation and the possibilities of involving a social worker. - Respiratory diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (acute respiratory disease, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchogenic carcinoma, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive bronchopulmonary disease, pulmonary emphysema and chronic bronchitis). Selected problems of the sick and the interventions implemented for them, possibilities for the involvement of a social worker. - Gastrointestinal diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, stomach cancer, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, cirrhosis of the liver and oesophageal varices, cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, colorectal cancer, pancreatitis). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. - Nephro-urological diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (renal failure and failure, urolithiasis, glomerulonephritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, kidney and bladder cancer, haemodialysis). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. - Haematological and hemato-oncological diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (anaemia, bleeding diseases and conditions, hemato-oncological diseases). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. - Endocrinological diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (goitre, thyroiditis, hypo function of the thyroid gland, hyper function of the thyroid gland, carcinoma of the thyroid gland, disorders of the parathyroid glands, hypocorticalism, hypercorticalism, disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary system). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. - Diseases of the musculoskeletal system: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (degenerative diseases of the joints and spine, osteoporosis, rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis, Bechterev's disease, Scheuermann's disease). Selected problems of the sick and the interventions implemented for them, the possibilities of involving a social worker in care, compensatory aids, etc. - Metabolic diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis, examination methods (diabetes mellitus including complications, sefmonitoring, hyperlipidaemia). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. - Metabolic diseases: anatomical-physiological introduction, symptomatology, anamnesis, etiopathogenesis and examination methods (nutritional disorders: obesity, malnutrition, metabolic syndrome, anorexia nervosa and bulimia). Selected problems of the sick and interventions implemented for them, possibilities of involving a social worker in care. Completion of the subject Basics of Somatology and Pathology.
