Course content
|
- Definition of basic terms - dying, death and accompaniment. - Palliative care for oncological patients, general and specialized care, principles of palliative care, criteria for accepting a client, organization of care, multidisciplinary team, legislation, dignity and quality of life of terminally ill patients, most frequently addressed symptoms within specialized palliative care. - Psychological aspects of care for cancer patients. - Palliative care for patients with serious non-oncological diseases. - Rehabilitation in palliative care. - Terminal care, terminal sedation, euthanasia, thanatology. - Standards and norms of hospice and palliative care in Europe and the Czech Republic. - Spiritual care - planning and strategy, assessment of spiritual needs, pastoral care, accompanying the dying, work with relatives. - Social work in palliative care and hospice. - The concept of care for survivors abroad and in the Czech Republic.
