- Basic terminology (social policy, social situation, social event, social problem, social security scheme, social insurance, social support, social help). - The relationship of social policy to other scientific fields. - History of social policy and social security scheme. - Three pillars of social security scheme (social insurance, social support, social help). - Subjects and objects of social policy, goals and tools of social policy. - Types of social policy, functions and principles of social policy. Effects of social policy. - Welfare state (definition of the term, concept, crisis of the welfare state). Current problems of the welfare state - causes, consequences and alternative solutions. - Issues of poverty, subsistence allowance, living and subsistence minimum and its use.
