Course content

1. Practice based on evidence (Evidence based in social work - EBP) - basic concepts and terminology. 2. Evidence based practice in social work - history, concept. 3. Evidence based practice in social work - meaning, practical benefit. 4. Evidence based practice in social work in practice. 5. Evidence based practice in social work - different target groups. 6. Evidence-based practice in medicine and nursing - brief excursion, basic models. 7. Searching for information in various sources with regard to selected topics in social work (Czech and foreign databases). 8. Classification of data according to study typology. Systematic reviews/meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, case and cohort studies, experimental group studies, surveys, qualitative studies. 9. Interpretation of data and their transfer into practice. Risks of use in social work practice.
