Course content
- Basic terms in the field of social work. - Introduction to the study of social work; social work as a science and profession, the position of social work in the system of sciences. - Social work from the point of view of scientific knowledge. - Historical development of social work; important personalities in the history of social work. - Basic terms, concepts and terminology in social work. - Legislation in the social field, Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services. - Legislation in health and social care, Act No. 96/2004 Coll., on the conditions for obtaining and recognizing competence to perform para-medical health professions and to perform activities related to the providing of health care and on the amendment of some related laws. Decree No. 39/2005 Coll., which sets the minimum requirements for study programs to obtain professional qualifications for para-medical health professions. - Ethics in social work, social worker code of ethics. - Personality of the social worker, personality of the client. - Professional identity of a social worker. - Reform paradigms in social work. - Theoretical concept of supervision, its meaning and principles. - Basic terms and classification of social work methods from various aspects.
