- Approaches to defining psychology as a science, its subject, a brief historical overview; the system of psychological sciences, the place of psychology in the system of sciences. Methodological questions of psychology, methods of psychology. - Determination of the psyche and its development; mental functions, processes, states and properties. - Cognitive processes in the norm and pathology. - Mental states in the norm and pathology. - Psychological assumptions in norm and pathology. - Psychic characteristics in the norm and pathology. - Introduction to personality psychology (self-reflection and relationship to oneself, identity). Personality recognition. - Overview of mental disorders. Behavior of a person in a difficult situation. - Personality and behavior disorders in adults. Issues of psychological approach in selected subpopulations. - Meaning and practical use of general psychology and psychopathology for health and social workers.
