Course content
- Comparative pedagogy as theory and research. - Purposes and usability of comparative pedagogy. - Knowledge of comparative pedagogy as a basis for educational policy, planning and management of education in the Czech Republic. - Research and functions of comparative pedagogy. - Types and methods of comparative research. - Educational systems of selected countries in Europe, the world. - Globalization in comparative pedagogy, global problems and consequences of globalization in education. - Education in Europe, European value paradigm, integration process as a context of education. - Key organizations (UNESCO, OECD, EU) and international associations (WCCES, CESE) - contribution and impact on policy. - Specifics of education systems, tools for comparing education systems. - Indicators of education systems in the EU. - Comparative pedagogy in the Czech Republic, development, changes and current challenges, participation in international projects. - Selected problems of educational systems, specifics of transformation of education. Comparison of classic and innovative concept of alternative pedagogy. - EU education policy - priorities and principles
