- Text definition. - Purpose of the text. - The content of the text. The form of text. - Author and addressees of the text. Intertextuality. - Characteristics of the professional text - factual, content, formal and linguistic aspects. - Structure of the text. Various forms of information organisation: descriptive, contrasting, classification, sequential, chronological, etc. - Traditional text and hypertext. - Aim and focus of text analysis. - Informal and exact analysis. - Analysis versus critical reading. - Focus of analysis: content, terminology, structure, language. - Analysis procedures: Selection of texts. Determination of analytical unit. Encoding. - Data processing and interpretation. - Use of the results of the analysis.
