Course content
- The definition of developmental psychology. - Historical overview and important representative of developmental psychology. - The concept of development, general signs and laws of psychical development. - Attachment theory. - Cognitive development; development of character and morality. - Prenatal development, childbirth and risks related to it, the plasticity of development and resiliency. - Neonatal period. Infant period. - Toddler period. - Characteristics of the pre-school period. - Psychology of children´s play; development of children´s drawings. - Psychological problems of the child´s entry into school, school maturity. - School age, adolescence. Period of adolescence. - Maturity; partnership, marriage, parenthood. - Period of old age, dying, death; typical degenerative changes.
