Course content
-Clarification of basic and related concepts of social science education, social study, social facts, cognition of social environment. -Socialization, enculturation, acculturation. Relationship of socialization, upbringing and education. Culture and cultural literacy. -Social science education in basic curricular documents for primary education, social science education and its position in the primary education content. -Historical, geographical and civic-educational dimensions of social science education at primary school. -Didactic and key competences of a pupil as a target category in primary social science education, didactic methods used within cognition of social environment, organizational forms used within cognition of social environment. -Lower school children's orientation in time and space. - Analysis of recommended and available textbooks used within social science education. -Use of information and communication technologies in primary social science education.
