Course content
- Ontogenesis, introduction to developmental psychology, characteristics of development, growth, nature vs. nurture. - Determinants of human development, developmental laws. - Research methods in developmental psychology. Child psychological diagnostics. - Selected developmental theories (Erikson, Freud, Kohlberg, Piaget, Vygotskij, Ainsworth). - Prenatal development, prenatal and perinatal risks. - Newborn, infant, toddler and preschool developmental stages. - Bio-psycho-social perspective on development. - School entry, school maturity and readiness. - School-age: prepuberty, puberty. - Characterstics of children's play, meaning of play. - Selected disorders of psychological development. - Characteristics of adolescence. - Early, middle and late adulthood. - Old age characteristics.
