Course content
- CAT tools, their productivity and use in translation practice - Installation, user interface language - Creating projects, project templates - Translation memory, its purpose and use - Terminology database, adding terms, creating glossaries - Pairing originals (older, reference) and translations - Translation of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF files - Quality control tools - Translation editing, export of documents in their original formats - Machine translation integrated in the CAT tool, advantages and disadvantages of using it for translation
