Course content
General rules of research. Aims of research. Research, sources, their academic value. Bibliographic norms. The Chicago Manual of Style. Citations, paraphrases. Plagiarism. Use of the sources (using quotations and paraphrases in one's own text). The thesis assignment. Structure of the thesis, from introduction to conclusion, theses divided and not divided into parts, annotation, keywords. Arguments (principles, mistakes, fallacies). Comparison. Differences between individual fields. Formatting, work with files, export and printing. The final exam, thesis defense.
