Course content
The course Morphology covers the following topics: - Morphology: scope of study, types of morphemes, allomorphy - Categories/parts of speech: criteria for establishing categories - Morphology and semantics of Nouns - Number and Countability, Case, Animacy/ Gender - Morphology of Verbs: Tense, Aspect, Mood - The category A (Adjectives/ Adverbs) - Semantic roles, Sentence functions and Types of phrases - Syntax of NPs and DPs - Pronouns: Personal, Relative, Interrogative, Reflexives and Reciprocals - Case - Syntax of VP - Structure of Predicate, Operator (I) - Auxiliaries and Modals (do, be, have, must, should, could...)
