Course content
Structure of presentations. Steps in preparing and rehearsing a presentation. Selecting and organising information. Acquisition of vocabulary typical for an effective presentation, guidelines for visuals. Reviewing and evaluating presentations of successful speakers. Verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Enhancing communication skills and coping with nervousness. Assessing oral presentation performance in class. Giving and receiving constructive criticism. Presenting without preparation, articulation exercises, discussion.
