Course content
The purpose and content of this course is to refine and enhance students' current skill set. To do so, the course will explore certain practical topics while at the same time honing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening skills. The course also includes explanations, exercises and using grammar units such as: - an overview of advanced English grammar and vocabulary - pronouns - explanations, practice and free usage of grammar structures - present/past/future tenses - linking devices, adverbs, adverbials - grammatical emphasis - modal verbs including their usage in the past and future. + All students will have a seminar once a week with the subject guarantor Mr. Sampey. + Students will also meet once a week their other teacher of the subject. + The same textbook and workbook as well as the Language Usage Guidelines will be used for both weekly meetings of the seminar. + Each teacher also has her / his own Moodle page with information and links to materials, videos, activities, texts, etc. On this Moodle page each teacher will assign materials and other tasks for students to complete before each seminar. Verification of acquired knowledge and skills: The first attempt at the final written credit test for the subject will take place in the last week of regular classes of the semester. The second attempt will be made at the beginning of the examination period. After the student successfully completes the written credit test, the student may take the final speaking test with a partner from the subject.
