Course content
- Syntax as a component of Linguistics. - The formal approach (surface syntax) and semantic (in-depth syntax). - Syntactical relationships and ways of expressing them - traditional grammar - Syntactical relationships and ways of expressing them - Valence Theory - Syntactical relationships and ways of expressing them - Generative Grammar - Sentence structures and their standing. - Word order, Satzfelder - actual sentence structures. - The typology of sentences. - Compound sentences, the relationship between sentences. - Complex sentences, asides. - From sentences to text. - Text grammar. - Course Credit Test.
