Course content
- Lexicology as a linguistic discipline - Lexical morphology and lexical semantics - Word formation, ways of vocabulary enrichment - Lexeme and word, word-stock, centre and periphery - Theories of meaning of the linguistic sign, semantic relations, notion and meaning - Theories of the evolution of the linguistic sign - Origin and development of the German word-stock - Lexicography. Stratification of German - territorial, social, stylistic, temporal. - Lexical subsystems of the German and Czech - Phraseology
