After passing this course, the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge of CAT tools in practical performance of non-literary translation with regards to the language skills (exactness, clarity, non-ambiguity, functional word-order, verb valency) and technical skills (form and typography, Czech rules, English rules etc.) After completing the course, the student is able to work individually in SDL Trados Studio 2021 application. Except for that, the student achieves an overview of how management of translation projects is run and how translation memories and terminological databases are managed. |
