Course content
1. History of logistics and its position within general management. 2. Classification of logistics, its goals and tools for achieving them. 3. Performance indicators and logistics costs. 4. Material flow - classification. 5. Logistics of purchase and inventory management, forecasting. 6. The theory of bottlenecks and its application in inventory management. 7. Inventory in logistics networks - SCM Supply Chain Management. 8. Introduction to production logistics. 9. Scheduling of production and the issue of work in progress. 10. Approaches to production planning and control. 11. Distribution logistics - GS1 identification systems. 12. Physical distribution - logistics chain, distribution channels, distribution technology - Gross Docking. 13. Storage - storage systems, storage activities. 14. Handling and packaging. Transport. Logistics of dangerous goods.
